I joined an already established project and worked within an existing foundation before expanding it. The process involved identifying the mythological and social logic already embedded in the setting and building outward from there.
Because player agency is intentionally limited, immersion relied on identification rather than empowerment. The protagonist was written as an ordinary person whose reactions mirror familiar human vulnerability.
Working within an already established level design meant treating spaces as documents. Locations suggest events that existed long before the player's arrival.
